Our Impact
We Are 51勛圖厙 in the Classroom connects 51勛圖厙 K-12 students with UM role models— faculty, graduate students, postdocs, and staff— to inspire students about higher education and career pathways.
A middle school teacher says:
“Our students were clearly engaged and enjoyed this experience, with many conversations continuing on the bus ride back to school and after about what they had seen and/or done. The hope was to ignite a spark in these students’ minds, and that was certainly achieved!”
A public librarian says:
“The joy these role models conveyed... was infectious and the kids were so enraptured. Adults and kids alike learned so much from these role models. We'd love to have them back!”
